Assessment of the Compressed Gases Market (ASU & CO2) to identify the long term strategy for the segment (to be better prepared to efficiently and effectively tap the segment when excess product becomes available in 2012). Gauge the feasibility of:
Moving larger volume compressed gas customers to PCC based solutions
Going the route of developing and strengthening exclusive / sole BOCP distributors based on geographical coverage
OR
CO2 Application Development - Identifying areas for CO2 Applications Development including but not limited to Dry Ice, Food Freezing and Cryoclean®; and materializing the opportunities into sales
OR
Improving the pricing mechanism and developing a pricing framework that makes pricing more rational, in line with Linde Pro pricing; and also more transparent in order to comply with regulations
- For instance, introducing price breakup in terms of elements like Product Price, Delivery Price, Service Charges, Maintenance Charges, Training Charges, Asset Charges etc. in order to rationalize the whole pricing framework
An off shoot of this project could be segmentation of bulk customers based on factors like demand, service level requirement, product quality requirement, cost to serve, reliability requirements, credit rating etc.
OR
Standardization of reporting across different sites especially for Operations, and to some extent Sales.
Improvement in SAP system to automate frequently used reports; and also to otherwise ensure that the SAP system is utilized it to its full potential |
