PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2010 to Date   INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, KARACHI

Assistant Professor, Chairperson, Department of Marketing

·         Team leader of the BBA Audit Committee. Conducted an audit of BBA four year program in 2010-2011. The new revised and revamped BBA program was developed as a result of this audit. It was implemented September 2011.

·         Advisor to MBA project; supervised three groups of students in their projects on Abu Daood, IIL and NIFT.

·         Successfully conducted MBA elective courses in consumer behavior, brand and sales management using the case method pedagogy.

·         Provide academic and administrative leadership through induction, training and development of faculty. 

·         Manage the administrative, fiscal and instructional resources of the Department through allocation of balanced workloads and Teaching Assistants to individual faculty members, and reflecting of their research and leave plans.   

·         Schedule courses, faculty, classroom, and other support facilities for delivery of assigned Program objectives while considering individual faculty commitments for research and assigned administrative tasks.

·         Oversee curriculum development and standardization of course outlines, content, and tools for delivery of course objectives though review of faculty’s course dossiers. 

·         Continually promote faculty development through annual goal-setting based on SMART principles, continuing assessment of progress, and annual performance reviews.

·         Review complaints from students, personally attend classes of faculty in need of advice, and guide faculty to higher levels of academic excellence.  

·         Support faculty involvement in academic research through nominations for international conferences, and periodically oversee progress on research activities through to publication in journals approved by the Higher Education Commission. 

·         Support faculty involvement in extra-curricular activities to support the wider mission of the Institute of “leadership for tomorrow”.

                        Member of IBA Academic Committee

·         Provided academic and administrative support in all matters brought to the committee.

·         Member of the MBA audit sub-committee. Conducted an audit of MBA program in 2008-2009. The new revamped MBA program was designed as a result of this audit and implemented in September 2010.

·         Member of the curriculum development sub-committee.
