The
purpose of the IBA Library Committee is to act as an
advisory body to the Head Librarian and to work with him to
ensure that library programs and services support the
educational goals of the institution. The Library Committee
participates in setting and disbursing annual allocations of
the library materials’ budget. They also assist the
Librarian in periodic evaluations of overall library
operations at both campuses, regularly review library
policies and procedures, and actively support the library
when approved policies and procedures are challenged or
ignored.
The
purpose of the committee is to:
- Provide
advice to help the library achieve its mission and
realize its strategic plans.
- Represent
teaching and research interests as they relate to the
library.
- Promote
the library’s role and enhance its effectiveness in
the educational process.
- Advise
the library on collection, facility, and service
policies, and on new initiatives.
