FLAG HOISTING CEREMONY AT IBA ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

A flag hoisting ceremony was conducted at IBA City Campus on August 14, 2009 as part of celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

Dr. Ishrat Husain (Dean & Director IBA), Capt. Ahmed Zaheer (Registrar), Mr. S.M. Saeed (Student Counselor), IBA faculty members, staff and students of IBA largely attended the ceremony.

The  program  was started  with the recitation of Holy Quran, flag  hoisting by  Dr. Ishrat, the national anthem and cutting of a cake.
 
 
Dr. Ishrat in his address said that we all should consider positive aspects and eliminate negative perceptions about our country. We should consider what we have achieved from Pakistan. In this connection he gave examples of increasing per capita income in Pakistan, factories built and export of rice by Pakistan etc. In the end Dr. Ishrat added that we should all work hard for the prosperity and progress of this country.
 
The Registrar, Capt. Zaheer in his speech thanked all the participants who took part in this program. He also added that we should not worry about short term problems in Pakistan rather we should all work for better and prosperous future of this country.
 
Mr. S.M. Saeed, the Student Counselor spoke word of thanks to the student council for their participation in the Independence Day Program.
 
A short variety program was also presented including a drama, qaumi naghma and a Bhangra dance and finally refreshments were served.
