I am happy to share that a team of three IBA students Mr. Mohammad Ali Khan, Mr. Junaid Alam and Mr. Syed Mohsin Hussain of BBA-MIS(VII) have become the finalists in CaseIT 2011 - an annual International MIS Case Competition organized by Simon Fraser University, Canada.

In the preliminary round, the participating universities from across the world were issued an unpublished MIS case via e-mail. Teams were given twenty one (21) days to prepare a Preliminary Case submission. Based on the evaluations of designated professors from the Faculty of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University and by the grace of the ALMIGHTY, The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan was selected to be in the top 12 spots. Four (4) teams were to be selected from Asia for the final round to be held in Vancouver, Canada, from February 2nd to 5th 2011. We are proud to say that this is the first time that a team from South Asia has been selected in the final top twelve.
