IBA appoints Leading Pakistani Professionals to its Faculty

 
Karachi, May 2011: The IBA Board of Governors (BOG) has appointed four eminent Pakistanis as Adjunct Professors at the IBA. “In the ever changing world of ours we have to widen the mental horizons of our students and equip them with the knowledge about the larger global and national economic, political and social environment in which they will be operating. The appointment of these nationally and internationally acclaimed professionals will help in achieving this objective”, said Dr. Ishrat Husain, Dean and Director of IBA while welcoming these appointments.

The four individuals honoured by IBA Karachi are Mr. Salim Raza, Mr. Javed Jabbar, Mr. Zaffar Khan and Mr. Farrukh Khan.
 
Mr. Salim Raza, former Governor State Bank of Pakistan, has 36 years experience of global banking having worked for Citibank across Middle East, Africa, U.K., Central and Eastern Europe. He will be teaching the Global Economic and Political Environment course at the MBA program besides delivering lectures and seminars for IBA Executive MBA Program.

Mr. Javed Jabbar, former Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting is a highly respected author, commentator on media, political and international relations. Mr. Jabbar would be engaged for teaching Media, International Relations and Political Science courses at IBA.

Mr. Zaffar Khan, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Engro Chemical, has 35 years industry experience both in Pakistan and abroad. He is teaching Human Resource Management at IBA.

Mr. Farrukh Khan is the Executive and Founding Partner of BMA Capital Management Limited, which won the Euro-Money award for the best investment bank in Pakistan in 2010. He would train IBA students on capital markets, business and financial sector strategy.

These veteran professionals and leaders will bring their years of exposure and experience to IBA classrooms thus bridging the gap between academic and practical world.
