An enthusiastic crowd, distinguished entrepreneurs, some exceptional advice with a fraction of humor  is the nutshell of this year’s  Ladies Fund Entrepreneurship Conference held at Avari Towers, Karachi , on 16th September, under the banner of LEC.

The list of guests included renowned names like Rohail Hyatt (Producer, Coke studio), Hassan Sheheryaar Yasin (Renowned fashion designer) popularly known as ‘HSY’ and Naila Naqvi (Owner, Pie In The Sky Bakery). The event began with Sidra Iqbal’s commencement of the proceedings with her inspirational speech followed by “Tilawat-e-Quran”. Then she introduced the Head of Dawood Group and ladies fund organization, Tara Uzrah Dawood by entitling her as the “Lady with all the good news”. She  wished to serve a reminder to everyone of  the core values of successful and superior entrepreneurship. As a foundation that works towards effective encouragement of young, aspiring entrepreneurs and with great people like Meherbana Sethi, Ayaz Khan, Wajeeha Malik, Rohail Hyatt, Naheed Mashooqullah, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin and Naila Naqvi as the panelists for the session, was indeed a significant approach towards enlightening those looking forward to this field that requires firm vision, intense struggle and the right perspective. All the great personalities emphasized on the importance of endurance, poise and the desire to achieve creativity, passion and love towards their career. Also, Mr. Ayaz Khan highlighted that passion is what assists in taking an entrepreneur towards the destiny they’ve set for themselves. Furthermore, our very own heart throb Rohail Hyatt indicated the need to develop self belief with in oneself in order to become a better leader. The second panelist was as fascinating as the first one. Also  Naheed Mashooqullah, pointed out the significance of exclusivity which prevails in our attitudes. From discussing the characteristics of an ideal entrepreneur, the risks and fear associated with the field and the individual experience of each of them was the most interesting part. Our wonderful host, Sidra Malik managed to keep the audience and the panelists interconnected throughout the conference.

The event concluded by thanking the inspiring entrepreneurs for their valuable time, including the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Francis Campbell. Throughout this experience, the efforts incorporated by students from various institutions were laudable, after all, it is their yearning to leave a mark that instigates the business leaders of today to come together and act as mentors to the upcoming generation of business tycoons.  IBA is proud to be a part of such an stimulating event.
