It is with a profound sense of sorrow that we announce the passing away on 18 November 2010 of the founder Dean & Director, venerable faculty member of IBA Professor Dr. I A Mukhtar, Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Doctor of Law Honoris Causa) at his House # 1, IBA Staff Town, University Enclave, Karachi.

The Members of the Board of Governors, Dean Director and all members of the Faculty, Staff and student body at IBA offer their heartfelt condolences to the family on this irreparable loss indeed of the entire academic community. We pray that Almighty Allah bless the departed soul and grant him eternal peace. Amen.

Namaz Janaza will be held on Friday 19^th November 2010 with Asr prayers at the Ibrahim Mosque at Karachi University burial will be in the DHA Phase IV graveyard.
