Faculty of Computer Science hosted a counselor’s seminar on Friday, 9th Dec 2011, which was attended by Principals and Counselors from various colleges and schools from Karachi.

This was a one of its kind events which aimed at ensuring direct communication between the participants and the management of IBA. Ideas were exchanged on the gap which exists between the requirements by IBA and the offering existing in the current student body. Presentations were made by Dr. Ishrat Husain, Dean and Director IBA, Dr. Sayeed Ghani, Associate Dean, FCS IBA and Ahmed Raza, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences.

The guests were encouraged to put forward their queries, suggestions and comments which were answered directly by Dr. Ishrat Husain. The seminar had around 30 participants and the three hours seminar included introduction to the programs offered by Faculty of Computer Science, highlights of the developments in the program, overview of the Karachi Koalas (Robocup Soccer team) performance in World Robocup and the renovations and setting up of new labs at IBA.  

It was a very productive and useful exchange of information between the feeder colleges & schools and IBA.
