The proceedings contained 33 original papers that were mainly the
work of Higher Education Commission’s scholars
carrying out PhD studies locally and abroad. There
were over 68 research papers submitted in the ICICT
2011 and after a peer review by senior professors,
32 were accepted for oral presentations at the
conference. ICICT 2011 was the fourth in the series
of biennial conferences organized by the Institute
of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. As in
the three previous conferences of 2005, 2007 and
2009, ICICT 2011 also hosted senior professors, 26
from within Pakistan and abroad. It provided an
opportunity for intellectual discussion amongst
various stakeholders over a span of two days. The
ICICT 2011 brought together the business and
technology researchers in a complex paradigm where
all of them were attempting to come up with
innovative solutions to complex problems related to
the information and communication technologies in
front of an audience drawn from the academia and the
industry.
The conference was a major success with a large number of
parallel sessions on networks, fibre optics,
artificial intelligence, image processing etc.
Presentations on a variety of ICT topics also
included GSM Networks, 4G systems, Smart Antenna,
Wireless sensor Networks, Human Agent Communication,
Adaptive ATMs, Mobile Robot, Image Processing,
Tele-Medical Image compression, UTMS and VoIP
Solutions.
