AACSB Review and Execution Committee (AREC) in collaboration with CILET conducts Assurance of Learning workshop and sessions

March 08, 2024: The AACSB Review and Execution Committee (AREC) in collaboration with the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Ed-transformation (CILET) conducted the Assurance of Learning (AoL) workshop and parallel sessions at the School of Business Studies (SBS), IBA Karachi to discuss AoL assessments and rubrics for Spring 2024.

Dr. Sana Tauseef, Chair of AREC, led the workshop, reinforcing the importance of AoL and continuous improvement. She provided valuable insights into AoL fundamentals, especially for new faculty members, and explained its implementation at IBA-SBS. Through purposeful dialogue, faculty members actively discussed challenges and explored avenues to bolster the AoL system at IBA-SBS. The workshop was followed by sessions with faculty of undergraduate and graduate business programs facilitated by AREC members in which the assessment tools and rubrics were discussed.

The event strengthened faculty understanding of AoL and saw vibrant participation from the faculty who shared their queries and feedback with the AREC members. The platform provided an avenue for faculty to engage in continuous improvement discussions with respect to the AoL process.

The session concluded on a lively note, as the International Women's Day was commemorated with a cake cutting ceremony, honoring the incredible contributions of women in the SBS family. The celebration highlighted the strength and diversity of the IBA community.
