Urban Violence and Climate Change

The Karachi Urban Lab in collaboration with colleagues in Africa and in the United Kingdom, has organized a webinar "Connecting Urban Violence & Climate Change in African Cities", scheduled for December 2nd, 2:00pm GMT (7:00 pm PST). For registration details, see attached poster.

This webinar is part of an ongoing 2-year project Climate Change & Urban Violence Global Engagement Network, (CCUVN) that KUL is co-leading with the Department of Geography at Nottingham University, UK, and a network of academics and practitioners across the Global South. This project is funded by the UK's Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and aims to generate inter-disciplinary and cross-regional knowledge about the linkages between climate change and urban violence.

This is the CCUVN's second webinar - the first was held earlier this year and focused exclusively on South Asian cities. The third webinar scheduled for 2021 will focus on Latin American cities.
