Workshop on Integrating Applied AI into the Curriculum

December 22, 2025: The School of Business Studies, IBA Karachi, conducted a faculty interactive workshop titled “Integrating Applied AI into the Curriculum” as part of its strategic initiative to embed Artificial Intelligence into academic programs. The session was led by Mr. Nasser Khan, Founder & CEO of ControlLayers.com and AIGuardRails.io, a global advisor in AI governance, privacy, and transformation with over 25 years of international experience. An IBA alumnus (MBA ’86), he has advised Fortune 500 companies, government institutions, and universities across North America and the Middle East, and has worked with global organizations including Deloitte, Accenture, Oracle, and Red Hat on AI frameworks and governance.

The workshop focused on building faculty capacity in AI literacy, machine learning fundamentals, prompt engineering, and AI ethics, while exploring Generative and Predictive AI as the core pillars of applied AI. Faculty members were also introduced to a five-step integration roadmap for embedding AI into curricula, aligning course learning outcomes with real-world applications, and ensuring responsible, future-ready education.
