International Monetary Fund (IMF) Meeting

On 19 November 2021, the newly appointed Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Pakistan, Ms. Esther Perez Ruiz, and the former Resident Representative, Ms. Teresa Daban Sanchez visited the Main Campus to meet with the Executive Director of IBA, Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Dean SESS, Dr. Asma Hyder, and the Economics faculty for a discussion on economic conditions in Pakistan. The ED and Ms. Sanchez engaged in a vibrant debate over Pakistan's economic performance, its adherence to the terms and conditions of the IMF loans, and the effectiveness of these loans. The Team IMF promised to participate in any capacity it can to aid IBA in forming knowledge partnerships with international stakeholders.
